Marshmallow Easter Bunny

marshmallow easter bunny

Craft supplies

2 large marshmallows (not real ones, from the craft store)

White curly chenille

White foam scrap

Scissors

1 “rub on” face (+ invisible tape)

Loaded glue gun

For carrot: orange felt scrap, green chenille cuts

Directions

We start with a tip: “rub on” faces do not stick on soft surfaces which marshmallow is. So we recommend just to cut it out neatly (in a circle) and  tape it to the “head”

Hotglue head and body together

Curve chenille in loops and hotglue – ears to the top of the head, “hands” by sides of the body

Trace the bottom of body on white foam, and, as you already did many times (if you use this site) add round “ears” to that circle, recalling that favorite talkative mouse :) ) Cut it out

Hotglue that “mouse face” to the bottom of the body – that would be feet :)

Cut out small semicircle out of orange felt

Roll it as cone-shaped bag, but tightly, glue the edge

Stick couple chenille cuts in the fatter part, hotglue them

Isn’t he adorable? May your Easter be memorable :)

Easter pompom buddies – Chick and Bunny

Friday, March 21st, 2008

easter pompom buddies chick bunny craft

Those are so simple that very small ones can make them (well, except for operating glue gun, of course)

Craft supplies

Pompoms – big for the body and smaller for the head (same thing as with snowmen :) ) – for each

Couple wiggle eyes – for each

Two small yellow pompoms for chick’s wings and one small pink pompom for bunny’s tail

Small white pompom for bunny’s nose

Red foam scraps for chick’s comb and beak and for bunny’s mouth

Chenille stems – yellow for chick’s 2 feet and pink for bunny’s ears and 4 feet

Slim white chenille stem for bunny’s whiskers

Loaded glue gun

Directions

Just connect all the supplies together as you see on the picture :) First, you glue together head and body and then attach all the “details”. Don’t forget to check how your pet stands on his feet before gluing them (tip: try to glue them underneath the whole bottom so it’s stable). You don’t see bunny’s tail here on the picture… Just believe us it’s there :)

Hoppy and clucky Easter!

Spring (Easter) flowers with chocolate

Friday, March 21st, 2008

This is really easy and quickly-to-do craft yet very cute and touchy :)

spring easter flowers chocolate craft pot

Craft supplies (for 1)

Foam scraps

Pen, scissors

Green chenille stem

Chocolate egg

Loaded glue gun

Flower pot from craft store (optional)

Directions

Draw and cut out flower shape (note: flowers you see on the picture made by kids with no any template :) )

Add a center (small circle)

Hotglue chocolate egg (in a wrapper!) in the center that way, so when you remove chocolate you don’t have rip it out of flower

Twist the end of chenille stem in snail shape, glue it to the wrong side of flower (“snail” twist holds them together better)

Bend chenille where the leaf supposed to be, curl it toward the stem, twist to secure

Can you imagine that? You’re done :)

Note: since chocolate is heavy regular chenille stem doesn’t hold it vertically, so we recommend using flower pot (from craft store, decorate by your taste), or just lie it on the table

Tip: when chocolate is gone :) , crumple the wrap so flower still have pretty foily “head” and Holiday memory :) And chenille now holds it vertically! :)

easter bunny paper roll craft

This cute guy definitely won’t leave you with no smile :) Or few smiles :) :) :) Give him a plastic egg with chocolate inside, or pencil as you see on pictures, or flag, or even chopsticks… he always has a job! :)

Craft supplies

Toilet paper roll

White (or pink?) acrylic paint, brush

White (or pink?) curly chenilles for ears, regular white chenilles for “hands”

Scissors

White (or pink?) foam scrap for feet

Two wiggle eyes

Pink pompom for nose

White slim chenilles for whiskers

Black marker for eyebrows and red for mouth

Loaded glue gun

Directions

Trace the bottom of paper roll on white foam, add two round “ears” to that circle, cut out (these are feet), set aside

Paint the paper roll white, let it dry

Make two loops with curly chenilles, hotglue it inside the roll at the top

Hotglue eyes, nose, whiskers

Cut white regular chenille in half

Bend one half in half :) and start twisting, leaving small loop from one side (so your bunny has “palms” to hold something in his hands). Repeat with another hand

Glue hands to the sides of bunny’s body

Hotglue feet to the bottom of the roll (now he has bottom you can put some surprise inside :) or, he can also be desk organizer :) )

Draw eyelashes, eyebrows, mouth

Voila! It’s been less that half an hour and you have this pretty multifunctional bunny, which doesn’t have batteries inside but keeps working and working and working :)
