cardboard_house_picture_craft
This craft is soooooo suitable for any occasion. First, you can do it for yourself as picture display. Second-third-fourth and so, you can make it Mother’s day gift, Father’s day gift, Grandparents’ day gift or Valentine’s day gift: just add corresponding words or embellishments! :)

Craft supplies

Cardboard house from craft store

Acrylic paint – we chose pearl-pink and light purple, paintbrush

Picture with your happy face :) Or two-three-four happy faces

Couple wooden stars from craft store

Glitter

Scissors

Ribbon

School glue

Optional: stickers, markers

Directions

Paint the house any way you like it, let it dry

Paint stars with glue, sprinkle with glitter, let the glue dry

Glue the stars to the “roof” part of the house

Choose a picture that you can crop to make a “door” with it

Glue it to the house

Frame picture with ribbon

Tip: instead of stars, you can add “window” in the attic, too :) If you make this craft for Valentine’s day, add some hearts stickers and write loving words! :)

This is a great space organizer that costs almost nothing and reflects your personality! You can keep your homework there, just don’t forget to return it on time! :)

Craft supplies

Family size cereal box

Pen

Scissors

Acrylic paint, brush

Embellishments by your choice (we had foam insects stickers for “girly” one and glowing-in-the-dark plastic stars and planets for boys one)

Glitter glue pen

Glue (if your embellishments are not self-adhesive)

Directions

Mark the box how high you want shorter part to be (we suggest it a bit lower than 1/2 height)

Draw a slide curve from the “hill” down on one side

Repeat on the other side

Cut it out

Paint it with any color you want (there could be two different colors on two sides, or rainbow or any other pattern)

Let it dry

Put the embellishments on, add some glamour look with glitter

Now it’s time to fill it and let it work! Enjoy!

caterpillar egg carton craftcaterpillar egg carton craft close up

Craft supplies

Egg carton, or egg plastic, or egg styrofoam (one half by length)

Acrylic paint

2 oval googly eyes

1 ‘bump’ from red bumpy pipe cleaner for smile (or red marker to draw it if you wish)

Black marker for eyelashes and brows

1 red pom-pom for nose

5 halves of multicolored pipe cleaners for legs

10 pony beads to secure ‘feet’

Gemstones to decorate (optional)

Scissors

Glue gun, glue stick

Directions

Cut egg carton in halves by length

Color outer side (each bump with different paint or the same, as you wish)

While paint dries out, prepare legs:

Cut pipe cleaner in halves, string pony beads on the ends, curl to secure

Turn your caterpillar-to-be over, hotglue legs across the body, shape them so caterpillar stands, not floats

Hotglue eyes, nose, mouth

Draw eyelashes, brows, freckles J (and mouth, if you didn’t use pipe cleaner for it)

Decorate with gemstones, or beads, or stickers

You can also add ‘crown’ (we used 3-D flower bead, or prepare paper crown and glue it to head)

Voila!
